Westminster, MD – A community is saying thank you to a giant fur baby with an even bigger heart.
Gryphon, a 150-pound Leonberger, served as a beloved therapy dog at Carroll Hospital in Westminster, Maryland, for seven years, bringing comfort and joy to staff and patients.
Now retiring, Gryphon will enjoy snacks, kisses, and belly rubs. Staff and former patients gathered to bid him farewell, recalling how his presence lifted spirits.
Gryphon’s gentle nature, characteristic of his breed—a mix of Newfoundland and St. Bernard—left a lasting impact at the hospital. His retirement marks the end of an era filled with love and compassion at Carroll Hospital.
