Caledonia, Minnesota – Driving into Caledonia, you may notice a wild turkey on the sign welcoming you into town, but it’s a dog putting the city on the map. It was a fast friendship when K-9 Roman was assigned to Lieutenant Trace Erickson of the Houston County Sheriff’s Department. Roman beat K-9’s from all over the country, winning first prize in a national competition held by the United States Police Canine Association.
