Columbia, MO – The Central Missouri Humane Society (CMHS) held a “Less politics. More pawlitics” event from November 4-6, offering stress relief through puppy snuggle sessions as election season wound down.
The event invited locals to take a break from the political stress by cuddling adoptable puppies for 30-minute sessions, available for a $100 donation. The sessions were designed to bring joy and relaxation to donors while also providing the puppies with valuable socialization experiences.
CMHS Associate Director Michelle Casey explained that the puppies, seven weeks old, benefited from meeting new people in various settings, helping them grow into well-adjusted, happy pets. The event was held at the Mizzou Alumni Association just before Election Day, aiming to ease stress during a challenging political season.
