Dog thrown over fence, abandoned at South Jersey animal shelter finds new home

Atlantic City, NJ – A dog named Snookie, who was tossed over a fence into the Humane Society of Atlantic County’s yard in July, has found her forever home in Texas. The Humane Society announced her adoption on Facebook, sharing the joyful news.

Back in July, the organization sought public assistance to identify a man who repeatedly abandoned dogs at the shelter at night. Surveillance footage captured him throwing Snookie over the fence, marking this as the fourth time he had done so in the same black Cadillac sedan.

At the time, Snookie was a young pit bull with distinct scarring on her back. Her former owner was later arrested on animal cruelty charges.
