Family spends $50,000 to clone dog that saved their lives

SAN DIEGO, California – David and Alicia Tschirhart weren’t ready to say goodbye to Marley, their 12-year-old Labrador who they say saved their lives.

Their solution? They cloned him. The California couple says a company called ViaGen helped make it possible to keep Marley’s memory alive through his clone, a now 5-year-old Labrador named Ziggy.
