San Dimas, CA -Three female German shepherd puppies, sisters, have a new lease on life after being pulled from a dumpster in San Dimas on Sunday.
A local bakery employee discovered the three starving German shepherd puppies abandoned in a trash heap near a business complex on North Cataract Avenue.
The pups, dirty and infested with ticks, were rescued and cleaned at Village Mutt, which is offering adoption support including food and baths.
Carolyn Castro, who learned about the puppies through a Facebook group, is seeking the person responsible for their abandonment through surveillance footage.
All three of the puppies are around three months old, according to Castro, each one with a sweet disposition despite such a hard start in life.
