HUNTSVILLE, AL – Huntsville International Airport has launched a therapy dog program to help ease travelers’ anxiety.
One of the therapy dogs, Oreo, has quickly become a favorite among passengers. His handler, Sherri Lynn, shares that Oreo loves interacting with people, often shaking with excitement as he eagerly seeks attention and pets.
Talyn Walton, who works at the airport, noted that both travelers and staff enjoy engaging with the dogs, which began after a successful Therapy Dog Appreciation Day.
Travelers can interact with the dogs by approaching staff wearing green polos labeled “Therapy Partners.”
