Michael Vick’s Dog-Fighting Ring Subject of Pro Bowl Petitions

Critics are calling the former star Atlanta Falcon’s past record of dogfighting reason enough to strip Michael Vick of the honor. Over 200,000 sign petition demanding NFL remove Michael Vick as honorary Pro Bowl captain.

The Falcons dropped Vick in 2009 while he was sentenced to nearly two years in prison for running a dogfighting ring in Virginia. The NFL quarterback’s sins for killing dogs haven’t worn off more than a decade later. Casual fans and die-hard NFL fanatics alike still cannot forgive the iconic QB for what he did to those animals, and after Vick was named a Legends Captain for the 2020 Pro Bowl, several online petitions were launched demanding he be removed.
