Round Rock officer adopts dog dragged from truck

Georgetown, TX. – Champ, a dog who never gave up, is adopted in a Georgetown courtroom on Monday January 13, 2020.

Champ was severely injured on August 10, 2019, when his former owner dragged him behind a truck. Round Rock police officer John Schultz began visiting him at the shelter and feeding him after he heard about what happened to Champ. The dog required five to six operations, which cost around $10,000, much of which was raised by officer Schultz.
