The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) followed up on a tip about an abusive puppy mill and ended up in a dark basement filled with cages full of terrified dogs. All of these 150 dogs were kept like stock in cramped spaces, and had never been outdoors or seen sunlight. We are happy to learn that the HSUS was able to shut the puppy mill down and rescue every single dog.
