‘She Was One In A Million’: Hero Dog Who Helped In Over 500 Searches For Lost Pets Has Died

CINCINNATI, OH – A search dog who worked tirelessly to help others find their missing pets has passed away peacefully by the side of her loving K9 Handler.

Samantha a Bluetick Hound mix found as a stray on the streets, was adopted in 2003 from the SPCA of Cincinnati and became a member of the Pet Search And Rescue team. Jim Berns, her K9 Handler, is a real-life Pet Detective, helping to search for missing cats and dogs. As a trained Search Dog, Sam went on over 500 lost pet searches in her career. She found many lost pets that might not have been found otherwise.
