Two teens charged after posting video showing alleged animal abuse with a weapon in Etowah County

ETOWAH COUNTY, AL – Two people have now been charged in an alleged case of cruelty to a dog in Etowah County.

Following an investigation into a video depicting possible animal abuse posted on social media, the suspects, an unidentified underage person and 18-year-old Trenton Sudberry of Gadsden, were identified and charged by the sheriff’s office. The weapon used in the incident was recovered.

Sheriff Jonathan Horton emphasized the seriousness of animal mistreatment, highlighting the importance of protecting animals. The underage suspect faces charges in juvenile court, while Sudberry awaits bond in jail.
