Falfurrias, TX – A U.S. Border Patrol agent is under investigation after a video was posted on social media showing her allegedly kneeing a K9 officer at the Falfurrias checkpoint in Texas.
The incident was recorded by Jessica Pena, who witnessed the agent dragging the dog to the side of the building and then kneeing it. Pena, who tried to intervene, was told by the agents that the dog was choking, but she disputed this, claiming the agent was abusing the dog. The video went viral, drawing widespread concern.
Expert Chris Garlinghouse criticized the action, saying kneeing is an improper correction. Pena called for accountability, suggesting the agent be removed from K9 duties. The U.S. Border Patrol confirmed the K9 is safe and assured the public a full investigation is underway.
