Richland Township, MI – An 81-year-old woman was reported missing in Michigan’s woods and was found after 20 hours with the assistance of a police dog.
Police K9 Loki helped find the woman at the base of a ravine, Michigan authorities said.
Michigan State Police responded to a family’s call from Ogemaw County’s Richland Township, where they discovered the woman’s belongings in her garage, including her motorized chair, coat, purse, and cell phone.
The MSP Canine team, led by Trooper Whited and his K9 partner Loki, located gloves and a cane leading into a ravine behind the residence. They soon found the woman at the bottom of the ravine, unable to move.
MSP troopers and first responders rescued her just as a heavy rainstorm approached. The woman’s identity was not disclosed, and her condition was not detailed by authorities.
