THIENSVILLE, WI – Days after a man drowned trying to save his dog from the Milwaukee River, the beloved chocolate lab has been found and returned to his grieving family.
Kobe was recovered from the Milwaukee River days after his owner, 52-year-old Aleksandr “Alex” Melnikov, drowned trying to save him.
The chocolate Labrador Retriever was found dead on the evening of June 12, a few hundred yards downstream from the Village Park dam in Thiensville.
