Reba, dog found sealed in tub in triple-digit heat, will need round-the-clock care

LAS VEGAS, NV – Reba, the English Bulldog found inside a sealed plastic tub in 110-degree heat, will most likely have round-the-clock care for at least another week, officials said Friday.

Discovered by passersby and rescued by Vegas Pet Rescue Project, Reba was critically dehydrated and suffering from heat stroke. She received emergency treatment, including IV fluids and oxygen, and is currently in stable but serious condition.

While Reba was doing better on Friday, she is not out of the woods yet. Her medical expenses have exceeded $8,000, prompting the rescue group to seek community donations.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the case as animal cruelty. The public is encouraged to donate or provide any information about the incident.
