Houston, TX – Abused dog named Bubbles who survived being shot and beaten with a hammer becomes an Instagram star after her new owners began sharing her incredible recovery online.
Bubbles is a three-year-old bull terrier mix who was brought into a shelter when she was just six months old after being brutally abused her former owners.
Kilyn and Ike Blanchard were introduced to Bubbles while volunteering at a shelter in September 2017.
Bubbles had to undergo four surgeries to take out the bullet from her skull, while also having her inner right ear, a portion of her jaw and her right eye removed.
The new owners began documenting Bubbles’ recovery online in an effort to raise awareness about animal abuse, and Bubbles has since amassed 67,000 followers.
