Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office K9 wins Florida’s deputy dog ‘March Madness’ tournament

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — A search and rescue K9 from right here in Southwest Florida is now the Sunshine State’s favorite deputy dog.

A March Madness-style, K9 competition was put on by the Florida Sheriff’s Association. It brought in more than 167,000 votes with Charlotte County’s bloodhound coming out as the top dog.
