Connecticut State Police K-9 killed in Pawcatuck officer-involved shooting

STONINGTON, Conn. — A state police K-9 has died in the line of duty following a shooting involving Connecticut state police in the town of Pawcatuck in Stonington on Thursday night. 

K-9 Broko responded to the scene and died in the line of duty, state police announced Friday.

Connecticut State Police said troopers responded at 7:33 p.m. at a residence on Mechanic Street in Pawcatuck to serve an active felony arrest warrant held by the Norwich Police Department and a search warrant relative to an ongoing investigation.
