District attorney in Massachusetts welcomes assistance dog to comfort victims of child abuse

FALL RIVER, Mass. — A dog that has been brought in by a district attorney in Massachusetts to lend a helping paw to children in need.

The black Labrador retriever named Chief is now providing support to kids during forensic interviews at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Bristol County in Fall River. 

Chief was trained at NEADS World Class Service Dogs, a nonprofit organization in Princeton, Massachusetts. The 22-month-old black Lab passed the Assistance Dogs International Public Access/Safety Test and graduated training last week.
