Dog earns Franklin Fire's Civilian Lifesaving Award.FRANKLIN, TN – For the first time, the Franklin Fire Department has presented the Civilian Lifesaving Award to a dog. 

Rescue dog Roux was honored for helping alert family to 4th of July house fire ignited by consumer fireworks last year.

On the night of the fire, barking “frantically and unusually” at the front door of her home, Roux saved a family by alerting her owner that their neighbor’s house was on fire.
