Dog trainers share ways to prevent tragedies after baby killed in dog attack.ANGIER, N.C. – After a 10-month-old girl was killed in Johnston County on Tuesday night, dog training experts are highlighting things that can be done to prevent these tragedies.

In addition, at least one lawmaker is calling for changing how the state tracks dog attacks after the death of 10-month-old Malia Winberry and 7-year-old Jayden Henderson in Garner earlier this month.

Dog trainer Javier Mendoza says children’s sudden movements or sounds can trigger pets, even ones that appear loving and docile.
