PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Giovanni Bajer was just four months old when he suffered his first severe seizure; his second would lead to him spending his first Christmas in the hospital.
His parents, Jared and Danitza Bajer, took him to multiple doctors who ran dozens of tests before a gene panel revealed a genetic mutation. Giovanni was diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome, a rare and severe form of epilepsy.
The Bajer’s want their son to lead as happy and independent a life as possible, so with the help of the Chasin’ a Dream Foundation, they began the process of searching for a service dog.
