Staffy called ‘Hero’ who mauled dachshund ‘Coco’ to death WON’T be put him down – after more than 200,000 signed a petition to save him

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier who mauled a dachshund to death in a park will not be put down, after he was filmed mauling another dog to death to protect his family.

A spokesperson from Cardinia Council, in Victoria, Australia, where ‘Hero’ lives, said ‘no further action’ will be taken against him after more than 200,000 people signed an online petition calling for him to be saved.
