Kentucky therapy dog gets second chance at life at Shiners hospital

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Shriners Children’s Lexington is trying to help kids dealing with a serious health challenge.

They now have their first therapy dog, Chance. He had a rough start to life after being found starving to death with a bullet lodged in his left shoulder. He was rushed to Camp Jean Rescue in Frankfort but lost his left leg, shoulder, and collarbone.

Now he’s getting a second chance at life. He gets to visit kids who have also lost limbs.
