LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn – East Tennessee’s Smoky Mountain Service Dogs nonprofit “passed the leash” for its newest golden retriever graduate to a deserving combat veteran and 9/11 survivor.
Service dog “Hondo” is now officially in the care of veteran Colonel Ray Joinson. Hondo will help the Colonel physically and mentally since he struggles with spinal injuries after the attacks.
