98 Chihuahuas rescued from ‘horrible conditions’ at Socorro home

SOCORRO, N.M. – A large group of dogs were rescued from horrible conditions inside a New Mexico home. Now, researchers hope to find the malnourished animals new homes.

According to Foster, on Thursday, his organization and other animal rescue groups from the state rescued 98 dogs from a hoarder’s home in Socorro. He said the dogs were Chihuahuas and some were Chihuahua mixes; 16 of the dogs were pregnant.
