Superior, WI – Meet Officer Millie, Superior Police Department‘s new therapy dog-in-training. She will help Officer Jen Stank with her duties as a Crisis Response Specialist.

Millie, a five-month-old puppy, is being trained to help with mental health, homelessness, and substance abuse issues. Her role will also include easing communication with children and adults, making her an asset during crises and public events.

The puppy will be involved in various activities, from parades to assisting other city departments. She is expected to complete her training by the time she turns one year old and will then be fully ready to support the community.
