CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. – A small shih tzu in Cliffside Park, New Jersey, fell about 40 feet down a steep, rocky cliff but is recovering well.
Witnesses saw the dog leap off the cliff and were initially worried about its condition. Rescue teams, who rappelled down the cliff, eventually brought the dog back up safely after about an hour.
Despite being in shock and suffering minor cuts, the dog was joyfully reunited with its emotional owner. After being examined by a vet, officials confirmed that the dog is stable and recovering well.
