NORTH ROYALTON, OH – A stray dog made headlines after boarding a school bus in North Royalton on September 17, surprising students and drivers alike.
The dog, affectionately named “School Bus” by the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter, refused to leave the bus for about 10 minutes until Animal Control arrived. The playful pup, a mix of Anatolian Shepherd and Labrador Retriever, was a bit skunked but clearly enjoyed socializing.
Following a mandatory stray hold, he was adopted just days later, bringing attention to the need for dog adoption amid shelter overcrowding. His joyful departure from the shelter with his new family highlighted his happy ending.
