Dog dumped on Denver street, rescued by owner of surveillance video

DENVER, CO – A dog was abandoned in a Denver townhome complex when a car stopped, opened its door, and let the dog out before driving away. The incident was captured on surveillance camera.

Neighbor Rane Jaresh saw the dog and, after a difficult hour of gaining its trust, was able to leash it and bring it inside. He posted about the found dog online and later discovered the footage showing the abandonment.

Despite reaching out to animal control, the dog wasn’t chipped, and the car’s license plate was unreadable. Jaresh adopted the dog, naming him Emery, and introduced him to his other rescued dog, Bear. Jaresh expressed his frustration with the heartless abandonment but is glad Emery is now in a much better situation.
