WAUSAU, WI – Wausau East High School has a new therapy dog, Timber, accompanying School Resource Officer Nick Stetzer to create a safe and comforting environment for students.
Timber has quickly adapted to her role, helping to relax students and strengthen relationships within the school. Taking over from the previous therapy dog, Badge, Timber is seen as a vital support for students facing various challenges.
Officer Stetzer emphasizes the importance of building trust, assuring students that they can approach him and Timber for support in difficult situations, not just for disciplinary issues.
