Green Bay, WI – A heartwarming reunion unfolded between U.S. Army Sgt. Mike Fletcher and his explosives detection K9, Dasty, after two years apart.
The duo served together for four years, including a deployment in Afghanistan and time with the Secret Service. After Fletcher left the Army two years ago, Dasty continued his service until retiring at age 11.
A nonprofit, American Humane, facilitated Dasty’s flight from Washington, D.C., to Green Bay, Wisconsin, allowing him to live with Fletcher and his family permanently. Fletcher expressed joy that Dasty will be part of his son’s memories, highlighting their deep bond.
