MOORE, OK – The Moore Police Department has introduced Leo, a four-year-old giant Schnoodle, as its full-time patrol therapy dog.
Handled by Sgt. Gurchinoff, Leo is the only therapy dog serving both the public and officers in the Oklahoma City metro area, underscoring the department’s commitment to community support and mental health.
Since joining the department at eight weeks old, Leo has been trained to comfort victims during various calls, including those involving children, health emergencies, domestic issues, and death notifications. He has become a valuable asset to the department, providing support in challenging situations.
