Retired Florida therapy dog comforts residents after Hurricane Milton

Vero Beach, FL – In a heartwarming effort to support Florida communities affected by Hurricane Milton, a golden retriever named Ben is lending a paw.

Ben, a retired therapy dog owned by the Chasse family, came out of retirement to go door to door in Florida, offering his head for pets to cheer up residents recovering from the storm.

Having previously comforted troops and hospital patients, he was re-engaged by Olivia and her daughter Charlotte after their home in Vero Beach was spared, aiming to support those who lost everything.

Despite the challenges of the situation, Olivia emphasized the importance of helping others and teaching Charlotte the value of community support. Ben, who overcame a tough past before being adopted, brings comfort and love to those in need, showcasing the profound impact of therapy animals.
