Man Arrested for Allegedly Throwing Pit Bull to Its Death from 14th-Floor Balcony: ‘Heinous Act’

New York, NY – A shocking case of animal cruelty has emerged in Brooklyn, New York, where a man is facing multiple charges after allegedly throwing a pit bull to its death from a 14th-floor balcony.

The incident occurred on November 1 in the Crown Heights neighborhood. The dog, which belonged to a friend of the suspect, 33-year-old Alberto Morris, was thrown from the balcony during a heated dispute between Morris and a resident of the building.

Following the tragic event, Morris was arrested and charged with several offenses, including reckless endangerment, aggravated cruelty to animals, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, criminal mischief, and torturing an animal.

At his arraignment, Morris pled not guilty to the charges. He was released without bail but is now under supervised release. The NYPD and ASPCA continue to investigate this disturbing case of animal cruelty.
