Therapy dog joins Canton police to help first responders, victims of crime

CANTON, OH – Canton Police have introduced Therapy Dog Autumn, a trained Labradoodle, to their force.

Partnered with Officer Brian Wasilewski, Autumn has completed Peer Support training and will assist victims, witnesses, and first responders affected by crime or job-related stress.

Police Chief John Gabbard emphasized that therapy dogs like Autumn help reduce stress, improve interviews, and strengthen community connections.
