After a life of abuse and neglect this pup is on of the first dogs in a Pennsylvania K9 unit

Doylestown, PA – An energetic black Labrador Retriever named Zeke has found a new purpose with the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit.

Zeke, along with his handler, Christina Brewerton, are among the first members of the unit. Initially, the office had no K9 unit, but with support from the Hometown Foundation, they acquired Zeke and a German Shepherd named Emma.

Zeke’s background was one of abuse and neglect, and it took time for Brewerton to build a bond with him. After his recovery, Zeke became a valuable asset, trained in explosive detection, evidence recovery, and locating missing persons.
