TAMPA, FL – A litter of five puppies and their mother were rescued from under a vacant home by Hillsborough County Animal Control officers.
The rescue occurred on Wednesday after officials received a call about a dog under the house. Upon removing the mother, officers discovered the week-old puppies.
The family was taken to the Pet Resource Center and will be handed over to a rescue group. The puppies will remain with their mother for a few more weeks, as they are not yet weaned.
