Fairfax County, VA – A dog was rescued from an icy creek by firefighters on Monday in Fairfax County.
The dog had become trapped in the freezing waters of Accotink Creek around 6:30 p.m. A video shared on X shows three firefighters wading into the water to carry out the rescue. The dog was then transported to a local veterinarian for evaluation.
Just before 6:30pm #FairfaxsBravest received a call for a dog who had fallen into the Accontink Creek. Units arrived to find a dog stuck in the freezing water. Crews entered and swiftly rescued the dog. The dog was transferred to a local vet for evaluation. pic.twitter.com/JcOAFJtJEk
