Man reunited with dog for holidays after 11 years apart

Downey, CA – Tito Barocio was overwhelmed with emotion as he reunited with his dog, Goyo, at the SEAACA Animal Care and Control Center—11 years and 2 months after Goyo was stolen from him.

The dog, a birthday gift from Tito’s wife, had been taken by two women from a pub patio. After years of longing and unanswered questions, Tito received a call from Officer Adrian Lopez, who had found Goyo wandering the streets and identified him through his microchip.

Tito was deeply grateful to the woman who turned Goyo in and expressed joy at having his dog back. “Best Christmas of my life,” he said, his heart full.
