Cincinnati, OH – Margot, a 3-year-old pit bull and American bulldog mix, won the 2024 World’s Cutest Rescue Dog Contest, beating out over 7,000 entries. Her striking appearance, featuring one brown and one blue eye, caught Julia Zupan’s attention while she was volunteering at a Cincinnati shelter.
After a snuggly visit, Zupan decided to adopt Margot on November 15, 2022, marking the start of their special bond. The connection they formed has since brought immense joy to Zupan’s life.
Margot’s sweet personality not only earned her a large social media following but also the contest title, along with prizes like a year’s supply of dog food and a $1,000 donation to Cincinnati Animal CARE.
Known for her friendliness, Margot has never met a stranger, and despite some leash-reactivity issues, Zupan trains with her regularly. To celebrate their connection, Zupan even got a tattoo of Margot.
The contest also featured two runners-up: Marcel, a 15-year-old Chihuahua, and Luke, a recent rescue, each with their own heartwarming stories.
