NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AK – A dog named Cliff was rescued by the North Little Rock Fire Department after falling down a cliff in Emerald Park.
A hiker heard the dog’s cries for help and alerted the fire department, who used ropes and harnesses to reach the trapped pup. After locating Cliff on a ledge, they took an hour to gain his trust, offering food and water before safely lifting him back to safety with a makeshift harness.
Following a wellness check by North Little Rock Animal Control, Cliff was found to be in good spirits and is set for adoption on October 21. He is a 3- to 4-year-old neutered pit bull, and potential adopters will need to confirm their town’s regulations regarding pit bull ownership.
