LEE COUNTY, Fla. – The Lee County Sheriff’s Office’s very own Deputy Chance made it to the next round of the American Humane Hero Dog Awards!
Chance was the victim of animal abuse, found with his mouth duct-taped shut. His abuser was charged and convicted, and Chance was adopted by Lieutenant Castellon and deputized by Sheriff Carmine Marceno.
He regularly visits schools, children’s hospitals, and community events. He has become an advocate against animal cruelty and helps promote shelter pets adoptions.
