Helena, MT – After nearly two years at an animal shelter waiting “too long” for an adopter, a pup in Montana found a forever home — and reunited with a canine sibling!
Matt is a husky who spent 676 days at the Lewis and Clark Humane Society (LCHS) in Helena, Montana. On March 17, the dog finally went home with a pet parent, the shelter shared on Facebook.
Matt’s new owner also adopted the dog’s brother over a year ago.
In a post detailing what started as a “pretty normal day” at the shelter, the humane society described how “things got a little strange” for Matt, who was confused about why everyone was sharing their goodbyes with him.
