Manchester, NH – A loyal dog jumped into action to save his owner’s life during a violent encounter in New Hampshire earlier this week.
An 86-year-old man named Ned Tarmey was attacked outside his Manchester home by his neighbor, Donald Pierce, who threatened to kill him.
As Tarmey let his dog Kane out, Pierce assaulted him with patio furniture, bricks, and rocks. Kane bravely intervened, holding Pierce down until police arrived. Tarmey suffered severe injuries including a broken clavicle, arm, and facial fractures, but is recovering in the hospital.
Pierce faces numerous charges, including assault and cruelty to animals, and remains in custody pending a hearing.
