Providence, RI – A remarkable story unfolded this Christmas when a black Labrador named Scout returned home after being missing for two weeks.
Scout, a 1-year-old black Lab, ran away after being hit by a car, leaving his foster mom, Nadine McCaffery, devastated. Determined to find him, McCaffery and her team launched an extensive search, but despite their efforts, Scout remained missing.
On Christmas Day, however, the dog unexpectedly showed up at his foster home, much to their joy. Scout is now receiving treatment for his injuries, including the amputation of his leg, but is expected to make a full recovery.
Rhode Home Rescue, the volunteer group caring for him, is seeking donations to help cover his medical expenses. McCaffery expressed her immense gratitude for the “Christmas miracle” and for Scout’s safe return.
