BANGOR, ME – After spending over 900 days at the Bangor Humane Society, Bagheera, a stray dog, has finally found her forever home. The shelter marked her adoption with a celebratory “pizza paw-ty.”
Bagheera, who arrived at the shelter as a young dog, had become well-known in the community through efforts like Zeppa’s Pizza featuring her story on their pizza boxes.
Kreg Ettenger adopted Bagheera after a gradual introduction, charmed by her personality and “goofy” nature, despite some behavioral challenges like resource guarding. Ettenger also donated the $150 pizza gift certificate he received to the shelter.
Shelter director Kathryn Ravenscraft expressed joy over Bagheera’s adoption, noting her happiness and the fulfillment of a heartwarming journey to the right home.
