COLUMBUS, OH – A memorial service with a full police honor guard was held Tuesday for Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy Mattis K9, the first law enforcement therapy K9 in the state of Ohio.
Mattis passed away in June after battling health issues. The yellow Labrador retriever was 7 years old.
Dozens of people and K9 therapy teams he inspired over the years turned out to pay their respects.
