WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – A golden retriever puppy has gone viral for its unique shade of key lime green fur.
The puppy, named Shamrock, was born in Florida, none other than the Key Lime State. The unusual coloration is due to a rare occurrence where the puppy was stained in the womb by a green bile pigment called biliverdin. Although this temporary coloring is rare, it is not unheard of.
